Plywood is considered the premium option for cabinet boxes (other than solid wood used on the face frame). It's a strong material and solid-core plywood employs several layers of wood plies or veneers oriented at varying angles for stability and rigidity. Virtually all cabinet makers offer plywood as their upgrade or top-line cabinet box material over particle board or MDF. You don't see it the other way around so that should tell you something about plywood's stature.

Identify a Reputable Contractor

Look for an established company and ask for references. Visit the showroom and discuss your remodeling plan with a designer. Observe the treatment and how long it took to design and estimate the job. This experience will give a clear idea and ultimately will be what determines the quality and excellence of work . Ask questions about delivery, installation and details. Once the project starts follow closely the details and instructions of the representative.
